UNISON Support Worker wins Luxury Spa Day

Cath Powell, a Support Worker from Hywel DDA NHS Trust and UNISON member has won a day at a luxury Spa of her choice.
Cath was one of almost 100 delegates at the recent UNISON Health Care Conference to take the opportunity to test and comment on Peezy, when visiting the Ladies at the ICC, Harrogate. Peezy is the new hygienic and dignified urine collector for women
“We were delighted with the uptake at the Conference,” says Giovanna Forte of Funnelly Enough. “We were not sure how the offer to try Peezy there and then would be received but it turned out to be a great bellwether for us. 96% of testers said they would recommend Peezy for standard urine collection use in hospitals, GP surgeries and clinics.”
Establishing that Peezy “does what it says on the tin”, no urine spillage was encountered on the body, on the toilet or on the floor by 97% of responders, confirming that the GP-designed device is a far more hygienic and dignified way for women to deliver a pure mid-stream sample.
Cath’s first encounter with Peezy was, however, less than successful as she neglected to read the instructions. After chatting with Giovanna about the process, she agreed to try it again. Her second experience was highly successful and mirrored the majority of responses received by way of direct feedback, which included:

“Clean and simple to use”
“So much more dignified”
“A great gadget – useful and hygienic!”
“Absolutely fabulous!”
