Collection Method Comparisons
We can use the Peezy for all types of patients – pre-assessment MSUs, MSU for cultures, weekly urine testing prior to chemotherapy and so on. It has been easy to use with any age range or dexterity. I used one today and the lady was so impressed she’s been showing all her visitors!

Financial and performance comparisons with other collection methods
Universal Container

The Universal Container (UC) is often provided alone or with an intermediate collection vessel, which is given to a nurse or orderly for manual transfer into the bottle, increasing the hygiene risk of spillage and contamination. The patient has to start to urinate, stop and start again over the container to release and capture MSU.
- 16% contamination rate*
- Peezy offers a saving of at least £1.52 per patient experience over the UC alone
Urikone

Urikone makes MSU collection more convenient than using a jug and decanting into the UC but provides no improvement to contamination rate. Achieving MSU with Urikone requires the patient to start to urinate, stop and start again, to release the MSU into the container
- 16% contamination rate*
- Peezy offers a saving of at least £2.02 per patient experience over Urikone
Peezy

Peezy’s simplicity and ease of use is clearly illustrated on the pack. There is no need to explain the start-stop-start MSU delivery because the user simply empties her bladder - Peezy does the rest, virtually eliminating spills, splash and mess
